These days, the intense heat and heatwave in Rajasthan have made life difficult for people, but now there are signs of a change in the weather. Light rain is forecast in many parts of the state on Friday, which may bring some relief from the heat.
According to the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, the state's weather is changing due to the influence of an active western disturbance. Due to this, some districts, especially in northern and northeastern Rajasthan, are expected to experience cloudy skies and light rain.
Since Thursday night, clouds have appeared in the sky in many areas, including the capital Jaipur, leading to a slight drop in temperatures. However, the heat still persists during the day.
Possibility of rain in these districts
According to the Meteorological Department, light rain or drizzle is possible in Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu, Churu, Sikar, and Alwar districts on Friday. Cloudy skies and changing wind direction in these areas may bring relatively pleasant weather.
Heat wave persists in western Rajasthan
While rain is expected in some areas, heatwaves continue to rage in the desert districts of western Rajasthan. Temperatures in Barmer and Jaisalmer have reached close to 43 degrees Celsius, the highest in the state.

In the past 24 hours, 18 cities in the state recorded maximum temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. Strong sunshine and hot winds made conditions extremely difficult during the day.
Heatwave impacts and worsens the situation
The persistent hot winds in the desert region have created a heatwave-like situation. People are finding it difficult to venture outside during the day. Health experts have advised staying indoors during the afternoon and drinking plenty of water.
What does the Meteorological Department say?
According to the Director of the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, this western disturbance will have a mild impact, but it will cause a slight drop in temperatures and increase cloud movement. Light rain or drizzle may occur in some places, providing temporary relief.
What will the weather be like in the future?
The weather is expected to continue to fluctuate slightly in the coming days. However, there is no sign of complete relief from the scorching heat. Daytime temperatures may still hover around 40 degrees.
The weather in Rajasthan is currently showing two facets: scorching heat and heatwaves, while a slight chance of rain is expected. Therefore, people must be prepared for this change in weather by taking precautions.
