The weather in Rajasthan is set to change once again. Amidst the increasing heat of the past few days, cloudy skies in many parts of the state brought relief on Monday. Several districts, including the capital Jaipur, experienced little sunshine throughout the day, and temperatures dropped slightly.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to be clear in most parts of the state on March 17th, but a strong western disturbance is expected to become active after that. The effects of this system will begin to be visible on March 18th and may persist until March 20th.
The weather will change from March 18.
According to the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, the weather may change suddenly in many parts of the state starting March 18th. Strong storms, rain, and even hailstorms are expected during this period. This impact is particularly likely in the districts of northern and eastern Rajasthan.
Danger of hail and strong winds
This system is expected to bring strong winds of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour. Hailstorms are also expected in some areas, potentially damaging farmers' crops. Crops like wheat, mustard, and chickpea are likely to be affected.
Temperatures drop, respite from the heat
Due to the movement of clouds and the possibility of rain, day and night temperatures are expected to drop, bringing relief from the intense heat for a few days.
The Meteorological Department has advised farmers to make necessary arrangements to protect their crops. The public has also been cautioned to remain vigilant during strong storms and inclement weather.
The Meteorological Department estimates that this system will remain active until March 20. After this, the weather will gradually clear up and temperatures are likely to rise again.
