New Delhi
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a strict warning to teachers involved in evaluating answer sheets for board examinations. The board has clarified that sharing any information, experiences, comments, or photographs related to answer sheet evaluation on social media or any public platform is strictly prohibited. Any teacher found violating these rules will face strict departmental and legal action.
Social media posts are spreading confusion
According to the CBSE, in recent days, some teachers have been sharing experiences, photos, or comments about their exam checks on social media. This is creating misunderstandings among students and parents and may impact the credibility of the examination process. In light of this, the Board has issued clear instructions to all evaluators to refrain from such activities.
It is important to maintain confidentiality
The board has stated that information related to evaluation centers is strictly confidential. No teacher is permitted to share photos or information regarding the CBSE's name, logo, building, evaluation center, or any material related to answer sheets. Official information related to the board will be released only through its website and authorized channels.
Strict action against violations
In its directives, the CBSE stated that if any teacher or employee spreads misleading or unverified information on social media regarding the examination and evaluation process, action will be taken against them under relevant legal provisions. In such cases, job losses may also be at risk.
Examination through on-screen marking system
The evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets for the 2026 board exams is being largely conducted using the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. In this system, answer sheets are scanned and checked digitally. This increases transparency, but also makes maintaining confidentiality even more important.
Teachers expressed some challenges
Some teachers have also expressed concerns about the on-screen marking system, which can lead to fatigue and slower work speed due to constantly working on screens. However, the board says that improvements are being made to the system.
Appeal to students and parents
CBSE also urged students and parents not to trust any unverified information circulating on social media. They should only rely on official sources for accurate information regarding exams and evaluation.
Maintaining impartiality is the board's priority
The Board states that, considering the future of millions of students, it is essential to ensure that the examination and evaluation process is completely fair, transparent, and reliable. To this end, these strict guidelines have been issued to ensure that any rumors or misinformation do not compromise the credibility of the examination system.
