The Rajasthan government has taken a major administrative decision, transferring 65 IAS officers. The reshuffle includes the replacement of collectors in several districts, including Jodhpur. The government has assigned new responsibilities to young and experienced officers with the aim of strengthening and strengthening the administration.
Alok Ranjan becomes the new collector of Jodhpur
Jodhpur district will now be headed by Alok Ranjan, a 2013 batch IAS officer. He previously served as the Collector of Chittorgarh. Significantly, he already has experience in Jodhpur, having served as the SDM there.
Alok Ranjan has served as Collector in various districts, including Dungarpur, Jhalawar, and Bharatpur. He has also held important positions in the Central Government, giving him extensive administrative experience.
Gaurav Agarwal has been given the responsibility of Udaipur.
Current Jodhpur Collector Gaurav Agrawal has been transferred and appointed Collector of Udaipur. Until now, he also held the additional charge of Jodhpur Divisional Commissioner, which has now been separated.
Kanhaiyalal Swami became the Jodhpur Divisional Commissioner.
Senior IAS officer Kanhaiyalal Swami of the 2010 batch has been appointed the new commissioner of the Jodhpur division. Previously, this responsibility was held on an additional basis, but has now been made a regular one.
Major changes in Jodhpur Municipal Corporation
Jodhpur Municipal Corporation has also undergone a major administrative reshuffle. Rahul Jain, a 2019 batch IAS officer, has been appointed the new Municipal Commissioner.
Rahul Jain previously served as Commissioner of the Udaipur Development Authority. He has served as SDM in Jaipur (Chomu), Ajmer (Beawar), and Sirohi (Mount Abu), and also has experience as CEO of the Rajsamand Zila Parishad.
Whereas the current Municipal Corporation Commissioner Siddharth Palanichamy has been sent to Bikaner.
Phalodi district also got a new collector
In a change in Phalodi district, Ankit Kumar Singh, a 2014-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new collector. He previously served in Dungarpur and Karauli and Banswara districts.
At the same time, the current collector of Phalodi, Shweta Chauhan, has been sent to the post of Commissioner in the Horticulture Department in Jaipur.
Young officers expected to be given responsibility and better administration
This major administrative reshuffle is being seen as an effort to improve good governance and efficiency in the state. The appointment of experienced and energetic officers, especially in a key district like Jodhpur, is expected to speed up administrative work.
