Rajasthan politics is once again in a state of flux. The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) has launched a major campaign against the state's BJP government, titled "Expand Organization, Save Democracy." This isn't just a simple political program, but rather a strong foundation for preparations for the upcoming local elections and the 2028 assembly elections.
Mission 5.5 Lakh: Expansion of organization at the grassroots level
Under this campaign, Congress has set a target of adding around 5.5 lakh new office bearers across Rajasthan within just one month.
21-member committees will be formed in about 14 thousand gram panchayats of the state.
Similar teams will be formed in about 11,000 urban wards.
With this, active Congress workers in every village and ward will be directly connected to the organization.
The main objective of this strategy is to re-strengthen the party at the grassroots level and ensure its active presence in every area.
The campaign will be completed in three phases
Congress has systematically divided this entire campaign into three phases:
First phase (April 1 to 7)
Formation of executive committee at Gram Panchayat and ward level
Focus on building the foundation of the organization
Second phase (April 8 to 14)
Appointments at block, assembly and district levels
Delegating responsibility to local leadership
Third Phase (after April 15)
Review of the entire campaign
Preparation for further mass movements and political strategy
Direct attack on BJP government
Through this campaign, Congress has directly targeted the Bhajanlal Sharma government of the state.
State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara accused the government of undermining the democratic process by delaying panchayat and municipal elections. Calling it a "slip government," he said the public's voice is being suppressed.

Reaching door to door to create awareness
Public relations is also an important part of this campaign.
Congress workers will go door to door to make people aware.
Will communicate with the public regarding delay in elections and local issues
Will question the policies of the BJP government
Through this the party is trying to connect directly with the general public.
Return of old workers
To reactivate the Congress organization, emphasis is being laid on re-integrating old and experienced workers.
Responsibility will be given to workers who have been inactive for a long time
Grassroots leaders will be brought forward
This is being seen as a response to the BJP's "Panna Pramukh model".
Political activity will increase in villages
The greatest impact of this campaign is expected in rural areas. Now, senior Congress leaders, MLAs, and former ministers will travel from village to village to strengthen the organization.
Political analysts believe that if this campaign is successful, it could directly benefit the Congress in the upcoming elections and even pose a challenge to the BJP in its strongholds. The Congress's "Expand Organization, Save Democracy" campaign is a major experiment in Rajasthan politics. It's not just about organizational expansion, but part of a strategy to strengthen its hold at the grassroots level and return to power.
Now it remains to be seen whether Congress is able to achieve this ambitious target on time and whether its impact is visible in the upcoming elections or not.
