Chittorgarh (Rajasthan). Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while visiting Chittorgarh, recalled the valor and history of Mewar, saying that while the names of invaders are forgotten with time, the saga of heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation is remembered for centuries. He said that even today, Mewar's tradition, the legacy of Maharana Pratap and Rani Padmini, inspires Indian society with pride and inspiration.
Chittorgarh's land is called the land of heroes.
Referring to Chittorgarh as historic, the Chief Minister said that it is not just a fort, but a symbol of India's identity, courage, and self-respect. He said that whenever he sees this land, he is reminded of the bravery and sacrifice of Mewar.
Yogi Adityanath said that the land of Chittorgarh gave birth to many heroes and heroines who never bowed before foreign invaders. He said that this is why its traditions remain a source of inspiration for the entire country even today.
Mention of the tradition of Maharana Pratap and Rani Padmini
In his address, the Chief Minister mentioned the great warrior Maharana Pratap of Mewar and the historical figure Rani Padmini, saying that their lineage and history remain alive in society today. He added that those who fought to protect the motherland will always be honored and remembered.
He said that history teaches us that only the nation which remembers its culture and heritage progresses.
Commentary on the invaders
In his speech, the Chief Minister said that history has seen many invaders who tried to harm India's culture and civilization, but their names and identities have faded over time.
In this context, while referring to Alauddin Khilji, the ruler of Delhi Sultanate, he said that today people know the heroes and the sacrificers, whereas very few people remember the invaders.
“It is the seat of Ekalinga, no one rules over it.”
In his address, Yogi Adityanath also repeated a famous line while referring to the tradition of Mewar-
“This is the seat of Eklinga, no one rules over it.”
He said this line reflects Mewar's sense of independence and self-respect. Its culture is deeply rooted in the tradition of Lord Eklinga , and Mewar's rulers have always considered themselves servants of Lord Eklinga.
Message of inspiration from history and heritage
Concluding his address, the Chief Minister said that India's new generation should draw inspiration from its history, culture, and the sacrifices of its heroes. He said that this sacred land of Chittorgarh reminds us that sacrifice and courage are the highest values for the defense and honor of the nation.
He said that Chittorgarh Fort is the guardian of the identity and pride not only of Rajasthan but of the entire India.
