Alwar (Rajasthan) March 18, 2026: A major and strict action against corruption has been taken in Rajasthan's Alwar district. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team arrested a tehsildar-level officer in the Govindgarh area after catching him red-handed while accepting a bribe. This action has caused a stir in the administrative department.

According to reports, Govindgarh Tehsildar Basant Parsoya is accused of demanding a bribe from the complainant in exchange for handling a land-related case. This case is said to be related to the processing of a land file, name transfer, or other revenue procedures.
When the complainant, fed up with the repeated demands for money, contacted the ACB, the entire matter came to light.
Action initiated after complaint
After receiving the complaint, ACB officials first verified the entire matter. When it became clear that a bribe was being demanded, the team planned a trap operation.

As soon as the Tehsildar accepted a bribe of ₹150,000 from the complainant, the ACB team acted swiftly and apprehended him on the spot. The team also recovered the entire bribe amount from the accused.

The entire operation was led by ACB DSP Shabbir Khan. His team executed the operation with meticulous planning and vigilance, leading to the arrest of the accused red-handed.
Following the arrest, the ACB team is also investigating the accused tehsildar's government office and other possible locations. Documents are being examined to determine if there are any other similar cases.
