Police have achieved a major breakthrough in the gang rape case registered in the Osian police station area of Jodhpur Rural District. Taking action against the accused, who had been absconding for a long time, the police have detained two minors and also succeeded in apprehending the main accused.
The case was registered on April 5, 2026, and since then, the police have been actively searching for the accused. Under the direction of District Superintendent of Police P.D. Nitya, a special campaign was being conducted across the district against wanted criminals. As part of this campaign, the Osian police took significant action in this serious case.
How was the action taken?
According to police officials, given the seriousness of the case, special teams were formed. Under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Bhopal Singh Lakhawat and led by local police officers, continuous raids were conducted. Finally, on April 18, 2026, the police arrested the main accused and two minors.
Minors sent to juvenile home
The two arrested minors have been sent to a juvenile home after completing legal procedures. The main accused is being interrogated to investigate other aspects of the case.
