Mathura/Bareilly: A major tragedy was averted when a school bus carrying approximately 30 schoolchildren suddenly burst into flames on the Mathura-Bareilly highway. The situation was extremely serious, as the driver initially didn't even suspect the fire.
How did the accident happen?
According to eyewitnesses, smoke suddenly began to billow from the engine compartment of the bus while it was moving, which quickly escalated into a massive fire. The children on the bus panicked and started shouting, but by then the situation had rapidly deteriorated.
The bravery of the sub-inspector who reached the spot
Just then, Sub-Inspector Satyendra Singh Yadav, who was passing by, spotted the bus. Without delay, he parked his vehicle in front of the bus and stopped it. Understanding the situation, he immediately called locals for help and began safely evacuating the children one by one.
All children are safe, a major accident is averted.
Thanks to the promptness of the sub-inspector and local residents, all the children were rescued from the bus in time. Fortunately, there were no casualties. However, some children appeared frightened and shaken.
