Rajasthan Intelligence has arrested 36-year-old government employee Sumit Kumar . The accused was working as an MTS at Air Force Station Chabua in Dibrugarh , Assam. Investigation revealed that he was sending highly sensitive information related to the Indian Air Force to Pakistan.
Spying racket busted
ADG (Intelligence) Prafull Kumar said the case began with the arrest of Jhabararam, a resident of Jaisalmer, in January 2026. During interrogation, Jhabararam revealed the name of Sumit Kumar.
Sumit Kumar was in contact with Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI since 2023 .
In his greed for money, he continuously sent sensitive information.
Sensitive information leaked through social media
Investigation revealed that the accused leaked several important data of the Air Force using social media:
Location of fighter aircraft
missile system information
Sensitive data relating to officers and employees
Important information about Bikaner Air Force Station Nal and other bases
Apart from this, he created social media accounts for Pakistani handlers using his mobile number.
Joint action and intensive interrogation
Rajasthan Intelligence in collaboration with Air Force Intelligence, New Delhi detained the accused.
Sumit Kumar was brought to the Central Interrogation Centre in Jaipur .
He was extensively interrogated by several intelligence agencies.
The inquiry revealed several important revelations, highlighting a serious challenge to national security.
