Jodhpur (Rajasthan), March 17, 2026: An important meeting of the Marwar Provincial Charan Sabha was held at the Charan Hostel in Jodhpur, where various issues concerning the community were discussed in detail. The meeting was chaired by C.D. Deval. The issue of a recent inter-caste marriage was a major focus of discussion.
Dissatisfaction expressed over inter-caste marriage
The members of the assembly strongly objected to the marriage performed by Manvendra Singh Jasol. They unanimously passed a resolution condemning it, calling it against the traditions and values of society.
The Sabha believes that such incidents affect the cultural identity and traditions of the society and hence it should be seen as a serious social issue.
Condemnation motion passed, action demanded
The meeting passed a resolution expressing disapproval and displeasure with Manvendra Singh Jasol, the woman involved, and her family. It was also decided to raise the issue at the political level.
The meeting said that a letter would be written to the top leaders of the country and the state, in which action would be demanded at the party level against the concerned person.
Appeal to distance oneself from society
Charan Sabha appealed to the Charan and Rajput community to take this matter seriously and consider maintaining social distance from the concerned persons as a collective decision.
Concern over the growing trend in society
Speakers at the meeting noted that the growing trend of inter-caste marriages in society is becoming a matter of concern. They emphasized the need for dialogue and awareness at the social level to maintain a balance between traditions and modern ideas.
At the end of the meeting, emphasis was placed on maintaining social unity and making decisions in the collective interest. Officials stated that everyone must work together to protect social values.
Through this meeting held in Jodhpur, the Charan community has given a clear message that they are in favor of taking a strict stand on issues related to traditions and give priority to collective decision in such matters.
