Tensions in the Middle East have escalated further. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) prevented the ship "Selene" from crossing the Strait of Hormuz, bound for Karachi, Pakistan. IRGC Navy Commander Alireza Tangsiri clarified that the ship did not have permission from Iranian authorities. He added that all ships transiting this waterway must first obtain permission from Iran.
This incident comes at a time when Pakistan is trying to mediate in the conflict. Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif recently spoke by phone with Iranian President Masoud Pajhishkian .
Meanwhile, five Indian ships have already safely passed through the Strait of Hormuz: Jag Vasant, Pine Gas, Shivalik, Nanda Devi, and Jag Ladki .

According to a CNN report, approximately 1,000 soldiers from the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division are preparing to be deployed to the Middle East. This division can reach any crisis point in the world within just 18 hours and is known as the Immediate Response Force (IRF) capability.
