A massive fire broke out suddenly in Lucknow's Vikasnagar area on Wednesday evening, engulfing hundreds of huts within minutes. Two young children were burned alive in the tragic incident, while approximately 250 families were left homeless. When the smoke cleared Thursday morning, the entire area was left in a state of ash and devastation.
Cylinder blasts increased devastation
According to eyewitnesses, the fire broke out around 5:30 pm and quickly escalated. More than 30 gas cylinders exploded one after another, making the situation even more horrific. The flames were so high that the smoke was visible from up to 10 kilometers away.
Control was achieved after 5 hours of effort
Nearly 20 fire engines arrived at the scene immediately after receiving the information. The fire was so severe that it took nearly five hours to extinguish it. For safety reasons, 20 nearby houses were evacuated and the electricity supply to the entire area was cut off.
Searching for life in the ashes
The scene after the fire was extinguished was horrific. People were seen searching for their belongings and essentials in the rubble of their burned homes. Many families were left with nowhere to hide.

Women made serious allegations
Local women alleged that some cottage owners in the area were pressuring them to remove their huts. When people refused to leave, the fires were set. However, the administration has not yet confirmed these allegations and an investigation is ongoing.
Police engaged in investigation, security increased
Giving details of the incident, Diksha Sharma said that the deceased children are being identified and a thorough investigation into the cause of the fire is underway. A heavy police presence has been deployed in the area due to the tension following the incident.
Leaders took stock of the situation
Considering the seriousness of the incident, Rajnath Singh and Brajesh Pathak sought a report from the officials and assured all possible help to the victims.
Accident or conspiracy? The investigation will reveal the truth.
This devastating fire not only took the homes of hundreds of people, but also raised many questions. Whether it was merely an accident or a conspiracy behind it will only be revealed after an investigation. Currently, the administration is engaged in relief work and efforts are being made to provide assistance to the victims.
